Hey guys! I've been working super hard with my new blog, but as you will soon see it is nowhere near where i'd like it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am a newbie and am trying to learn how to do different things with my website!

I recently switched my site from .html to wordpress using Genesis theme framework. My site was going super slow so i tested it with pagespeed and it was getting like 30/100. This was mainly due to redirect issues. However, these redirect issues have been mostly resolved. Then it was saying to leverage cacheing. I am hosting through godaddy.com and they suggested using the W3 Total Cache plugin which i have done. I followed the Install instructions on the plugin and it totally screwed up my site. I gave the FTP access within the plugin and uploaded the suggested files. Then when i look at my site, it is completely different. The CSS is non existent. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello there ! I am new at wordpress and also new at the forum! (this is my first post)

I am writing to make a question about this website :

It is the "xebax" theme.My question is about this place of the website :

When you enter the above link you should see a portfolio with many icons and something like a menu with this categories :

ALL CELEBRITIES DANCE DJS POP RNB ROCK SHOWS ΈΝΤΕΧΝΟ ΛΑΪΚΌ ΠΑΡΑΔΟΣΙΑΚΌ ΣΥΓΚΡΟΤΉΜΑΤΑ

All these categories are made by me except of the "all" category which was there by default.

THE PROBLEM is that there are almost 500 artists and you have to wait them to load.I want to make another category the default one.Or delete the "all" category, or make the all category show the posts sort by 20-20 !!!

HELP !!! :)

looks good. nice and clean. two things stuck out:

1. the quote form took 5-7 seonds to load.
2. I have a large monitor and there is still a horizontal scroll bar.

Hi there,
I run a WP site that I have not updated for a while, then when I was back, I found a lot of unrelated pings (quite a lot) in each blog post that could cause the big G to thing I run a link farm, that is not good.

Is there any fix/especial conf. for it? Akismet seems unable to detect all, though.

In December I finally pulled the courage to move to wordpress from yola a free platform. Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you like it and will consider your suggestion as well as any other people may post.

Getting away from Flash for the slideshows has proven to be the biggest challenge. There are many solutions, but many of them are very slow.

I have redone the header completely and pushed the content up into the mountain now. Much better look I'd say and more content above the fold.

I think it is informative, nice onthe eyes, has all your contact info there. Sample work and prices. Great stuff.

@belovelty before anything else you need to imrpove the SEO ranking of your website because search engines r the places where you get the majority of traffic after that u should follow what synfidie said and for a beauty blog i suggest you to improve the looks of your current blog =D

there r plugins for registeration and login...and for paypal you can directly get a link from paypal.com not sure about cc or echeck if you want to ditto the site u linked u would need some php :/

Greetings,
I am very new to Wordpress and am having great difficulty figuring out the best way to achieve my goal. I maintain a Lacrosse camp website where users can register their children for Lacrosse camps and clinics. I am looking to have users register for my website but I want to capture a considerable amount more information then just an email address and password. Please see below for a full project description

I want to add user registration functionality to the web site - (http://maddoglax.com/wp/home/) - so returning users don’t have to fill out this form - (http://maddoglax.com/wp/register-form/) - each time they register a child for a clinic as they do now. Then in the future if they want to sign a child up for an event when they come back “to register for an event” there will be a box where they can click on both or one of their children to sign up for that event. We are looking for something similar to the process on http://www.trilogylacrosse.com/. I also want the users to be able to pay via PayPal, Credit Card or eCheck.

I want to avoid outsourcing the project to a consultant so I'm curious if there might be a theme & plugin combination that would help me achieve this?

I don't really have them on my site either...they supposedly help with website ranking.

To get a higher following, you can try facebook and google+..basically linking your website to them. It can bring more of an audience in. You can also try twitter to get more visitors.
