    Hi,
I am just looking for an easy way to add an image when I am writing/editing a post.
I am hoping for an "image" or "upload" button write there in the interface. If I click the button, a pop-up opens, asks me if i want a thumbnail, uploads the image, then inserts the code straight into the window.
I see several image plugins and have done extensive searches, but I am not sure which one will just simply do this.
Also, is there such an option in 1.3 nightlies?
    Thanks
    BH

Hmm, I'm looking for something similar. I'm looking for a hack/plugin that will read a certain directory (the images in it) to display in the post/edit news section...
I want it to have a small field showing which images to choose from etc...

    From WP Wiki Plugin page:
    Image Browser

This plugin adds an "Insert Image" button to the edit screen which opens an image browser to select from all previously uploaded images and add the appropriate code to the post. If you want, you can consider it a sort of mini-gallery for easy selection of images, you want to include in your post.

    IImage Browser

Improved version of Image Browser plugin. Browsing through subdirectories, changing of thumbnail prefix and much easier adding of images to your post is now possible. You can delete images with IImage Browser as well.

    Hi Bryan,
Thanks for your reply. It seems this does half of what I need by allowing you to insert images direct from the post/edit page, but both tools do not actually upload images. You still need to go to the upload page, or use ftp.
This feels really clunky to me. Must be a better way?
    thanks
