The site was built for the Royal Opera House and is a site about the history of ballet and Ninette de Valois to coincide with an exhibition at The Lowry, Salford, UK with the same subject. the exhibition is now on tour.

Why it’s in the Showcase: The site incorporates many snippets of images, video and audio, and memories throughout the decades in a scrapbook style. These are randomized upon refreshing the page. Hovering reveals more information using the post heading and excerpt using some jQuery effects and clicking on a scrapbook snippet will reveal a jQuery overlay with the full media plus the ability for members of the public to comment on a particular performance which would then be added to the scrapbook once moderated. Visitors can also click on a category name within the overlay to to be taken to a scrapbook page of just that particular category/subject.
