The Guild of Commercial Filmmakers is a film production company based in Melbourne and Sydney Australia. Representing eight directors, they specialise in the production of high quality television commercials.

Why it’s in the Showcase: The site employs WordPress as a CMS using a structure of categories for each director’s work and tags to describe the content of the works. This allows visitors to browse for “automotive” or “food and drink” commercials using tags across the site and is used to automatically suggest related content for each work. Custom fields are used to store credits for each commercial as well as the location of media files such as poster frames, movies and Flash videos. Director’s showreels are dynamically created XSPF playlists and are played by the JW Flash Player.
