National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) empowers black engineering students by developing their leadership and experience at San Francisco State. The NSBE, with nearly 30,000 members, is one of the largest student governed organizations in the country. Founded in April 1975, NSBE now includes 175 chapters on college and university campuses, Pre-College, and Technical Professional/Alumni chapters in the United States and abroad.

Why it’s in the Showcase: The NSBE’s WordPress-powered website uses a custom theme with breadcrumb navigation, dropdown menus, and a jQuery slideshow to highlight the enrichment programs the student run organization offers.
