Why it’s in the Showcase: The main site for Katy Perry Beauty is a Flash microsite, but the content is managed completely by WordPress extended with custom written plugins, including a plugin that uses Twitter’s API on a Cron job to store tweets. There are also sites for iPad and mobile, and WordPress allows the development team to update content once and have it reflected on all versions of the website.
