Inksie began in Portland, Oregon – land of beauty, bridges and beer. Founder Sonny Lee, Creative Directors Dave LaChasse and Cory Reed wanted to pursue something lasting. The task of printing and producing artwork is often tedious and costly, they understood, and selling it can be a challenge. They wanted to build a trustworthy brand with a strong community that could lend a hand to artists.

Why it’s in the Showcase: Inksie is using WordPress to tie multiple elements of the brand together.The shop and main site have been developed using a combination of WordPress, BuddyPress and Magento. The site also uses a sub-blog as our ever-changing handbook that only invited artists are capable of accessing.
