WP Remote Thumbnail

Description

WP Remote Thumbnail is very light weight WordPress plugin which comes with zero configuration and one click setup. Using this plugin you can easily set any external image as featured image of any post/page or even custom post types.

This plugin automatically adds a custom metabox to each post type which supports post thumbnail. You just need to copy and paste the url of any image and then paste it into the metabox and click publish/update.

Installation

  1. Go to your admin area and select Plugins -> Add new from the menu.

  2. Search for “WP Remote Thumbnail”.

  3. Click install.

  4. Click activate.

  5. Go to any post/page and add your external images.

Just downloaded this plugin because I though it would solve my problem. Instead, it just throws an error when I try to save a post: Warning: basename() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in .../wp-remote-thumbnail/wp-remote-thumbnail.php on line 97 Looks like it's the same error that was reported over three years ago.

This plugin looks like the answer to my issue, but I don't want to start counting on a plugin that is dying. I see it's been 11 months since your last update, are you going to revive this plugin or let it die? Thanks Matt
