Would appreciate being able to add my own custom CSS classes to the pull quotes, but in the mean time, at least adding a pqFull, which would span 100%, would be really great! Cheers, Atg

I'm a long-time typographer who got my start prior to the advent of both desktop publishing in the 1980s and the worldwide web in the 1990s, and am probably one of the few who fully made the transition to the modern era. Because of my background and training, not only am I particular about typography, spacing, fonts, and so forth, but also editorial control. The option for automatically alternating right and left sides of the page with successive pull-quotes — or overriding that as wanted — is simple, clever, and thoughtful, and improves the overall appearance throughout a post/page without causing any extra work. Another thoughtful bonus is the provision for using HTML comments inside the pull-quote span to substitute an edited version of the text you're pull-quoting with something more workable. This is a time-honored practice you see frequently in professional magazines, and done when the original copy would not stand alone well on its own as a strictly verbatim quote, or would simply be too long. As with many plugins that do not provide much of a front-end interface (true of all the pull-quote plugins currently available), it does take some doing getting in and figuring out which bits of CSS require customizing to meet one's needs, but you can control everything about the pull-quotes' appearance you want (font, border color, background or gradient color, line-height, internal padding, external margins, min/max width, etc.) As the developer mentions in his notes, since the plugin uses JavaScript rather than a shortcode, should you wish to disable it, or if it does not work for some reason, your posts/pages won't be littered with visible shortcodes in the text. I don't know why there haven't been more reviews of this plugin. Maybe people are just lazy. But if you're particular about getting the most control possible over pull-quotes, to me this is the winner. Two added notes: The plugin does work on the latest version of WordPress (4.3.1 as of this writing). This info should really be better kept up to date by the developer. Also, if you're using a caching plugin, if any option to minify JavaScript is turned on it will cause Graceful Pull-Quotes not to work, so be aware.
