Genesis Grid

Description

The Genesis Grid plugin was design to allow users of the Genesis theme to easily display their posts in a grid format.

“Features” are full-width posts at the top of the listing. “Teasers” are the posts broken into columns. You can set the number of Features and Teasers for both the homepage and inner pages, and how many columns the teasers are broken into.

You can also specify the image sizes used for Features and Teasers. I recommend setting Features for Large, and Teasers for Medium. Then go to Settings > Reading and set the dimensions of those images as needed. If you have already uploaded images, use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to rebuild the thumbnails at these dimensions. If images aren’t showing up, make sure you have “Include featured images” checked in Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives

Finally, you can specify where the grid loop is used by checking Home, Category Archives, Tag Archives, Taxonomy Archives, Author Archives, and/or Search Results. See the Developers section for more fine-grained control.

The plugins was not workin after installing and activating (Genesis 3.0.1 and Genesis Sample), i had to change the "Features on First Page" and Save to get the plugin working.

I have been using the Genesis Grid Plugin for a number of years, and have never experienced any issues; it's easy to setup via the WordPress dashboard, and provides great flexibility in setting up your blog archive pages (setting the number of "featured" posts versus column posts etc. Highly recommended

Tried everything and it doesn't change the layout of the blog archive - the best part of the plugin. I turned it off and nothing changed. ***Update*** the developer helped me figure out that you shouldn't use the blog template in wordpress but rather use static pages all the time. This is now working as it should. I'm giving 5 stars for the quickness and expertise this developer brought to the table. The plugin is cool but his response was so much better.

Good plugin, but can not be used within a static front page. For sample, I can create a static front page to display blog posts in order to customize sidebar. (genesis 2.2.5)
