Works great! I wish it had the ability to set a group as having access to everything that is restricted (i.e. user is not actual WP admins, but added to an admin type group that people could be assigned to). I highly recommend an addition I found online that allows you to additionally protect a small portion of a page: http://www.my105e.com/wordpress-plugins/page-security-by-contexture-shortcodes

This is almost a great plugin. My problem is that it doesn't go far enough. For example, I have just created an event which I have restricted to Registered Users only. The problem is that the event still appears on our diary page (All in One Event Calendar). It's only when you click on the event that you are told that you cannot view this item. The event in question is no big deal, it's just not relevant to the general public. I just want the item hidden in the first place. I've had similar issues with posts. Or am I missing something here?

Sorry only one star guys! I CAN'T DISABLE PROTECTION ON ALL PAGES/POSTS THAT I PROTECT! So to disable the protection i must disable the plugin! And more, all menus that i protect disappear so prefer to use the integrated protection from WP

This is almost a good plugin - and it sorta works after you understand how to do it that took me only minutes on the forum, not from your instructions. BUT... After configuring it, my site is missing some things. A group was added and a user assigned to it. Then, a post and a page was set to allow that group. Yes, I clicked "update" to ensure the post and page were updated. I logged in as the user and cannot edit the POST. All I see is "View" for all posts, including the one that this group is assigned to. The PAGES link is missing in the left menu although this user should be allowed to edit a PAGE. The parent POST shows the lock in the list. Confusing especially when other POSTs show no lock. And, the live website denies users to pages that were protected. I thought your plugin affected only the admin area, not the live website????? Hum.... what gives? And, what gives with the sporadic support? your plugin is almost there with a little tweaking. I am so glad to test it before making a purchase. If it worked, I would send $$ to you to buy a beer. If you fix these within a week, I'll change this to a 5-star review.
