WordPress drag & drop upload

Just like Gmail where we can drag-drop our attachments, this feature would be great and will enable publishers to push content as fast as possible.

It will eliminate the need of blog writers app as they are proved faster only because they upload images for us. Infact there is no good one available for linux (I use Ubuntu).

This can be a good fit for the Google Summer Code, this year.

If you think this will help you, please vote for this idea.

I just created a plugin which does that.
This is the first version, but it works pretty good, even with multiple files at once.

    I'll keep improving it.

Its not yet in the plugin directory but will be as soon as I get SVN access for it.

    In the meantime go here!

You should remove the & in the name, its hard to search for it from the admin area using terms "Drag and Drop" it doesn't show up, but "Drag & Drop" it does, no one is going to put a & in.

Just a heads up, might help your downloads too.

And not to derail this topic I think this is a great idea 5 stars!

I always searched with an &

Ok, I'll rename it soon and see how the download-count develops.
