Visual indicator that a plugin is listed on wordpress.org

The new auto-update feature is great... for plugins that are listed at wordpress.org. It'd be nice if all plugins were there, but they're not. I think it'd be nice to be able to tell on the plugin page of the admin iterface if a plugin is listed at wordpress.org or not (I can't always remember!). This way I'll have an easier way of knowing if I should be tracking down new versions manually or not.

Plugin authors have the ability to provide the same auto update notification/upgrade functionality that plugins in the repository have. It's up to them to code it that way so you don't have to manually worry about upgrading.

I agree, Jeff, but I don't think that the OP's idea is invalidated. There really should be some way of easily identifying plugins that aren't being automatically updated.

It's up to the non-repo plugins. Any user that uses a non-repo plugin is taking on the responsibility of managing their own updates, one way or another.
