Separate 'edit my profile' and 'log out' functions

    Hi there,

The top-right menu of a WordPress site shows:

    1. Howdy, UserName
    2. The username
    3. Edit my profile
    4. Log out

The first three link to the profile page but the fourth logs the user out of the system.

Please can the 'log out' function be separated from the 'edit profile' function and the extra 'edit' options be removed?

This could be similar to WordPress.org which uses two links: 'Welcome, UserName | Log Out'.

Separating the functions would improve usability because 'log out' is likely to be used more frequently than 'edit my profile'. There's no gap between 'edit my profile' and 'log out', making it very easy to select the wrong one.

This article explains the theory: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2010/03/the-opposite-of-fitts-law.html.
