Doesn't it just use tinymce? From what I can tell it already mostly works with Safari, there's just a check in wordpress that stops us getting at it! (I think!)

    Hi,

Well, the WYSIWYG controls don't appear in Safari on my mac, so I vote for this one as well.

    Regards,

    Stefaan

If you read why it's commented out, in the source, it's a Safari issue. As unfortunate as it is. Once it's resolved, I'm sure it will be uncommented.

-1 Tell the Safari folks to fix their browser. Safari has numbers of issues with WYSIWYG and HTML in general.

http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/example_full.php?example=true The TinyMCE 2.0.9 demo at moxiecode.com works with Safari 2.0.4. I also would like WordPress' WYSIWYG post authoring to work in Safari.

It's not just Safari, it's also Firefox. I don't use Safari and I have no WYSIWYG editing ability with 2.1 either, using the latest version of Firefox for Mac.

Sad that, as of March 1 and v2.1.1, neither the "live" spellchecking nor the tabbed visual editor work in Safari. Still. Major bummer. This is my vote for this fix!

Safari issue as it doesn't support the AJAX javascript fully.

    Getting better though....
