Be able to choose page order of Pages/subPages. Either have an "alpha" sort, or enter numerical order on the manage page screen without having to go into each page individually.

If anyone can figure this out let me know please. I have wondered about this myself.

There is a plugin available for this, however I think this needs to be addressed as a core enhancement.

Although WordPress is, and will remain to be primarily a blogging platform, it is now becomming a very popular CMS. Ordering pages is a very important part of this, and the current way of managing pages is very cumbersome.

Ideally you should be able to reorder pages in the manage page section by dragging and dropping - like the way you can reorder images in the gallery.

This is already implemented, and can be accessed using the "Quick Edit" link for each page listed in the Mange Pages page.

Click "Quick Edit", then set "Order" to any number from 0 and up. The page defaults to listing pages in menu order, which uses this "Order" parameter.

Note that sub-pages will be listed in the same manner, underneath their parent page.

Site menus will also allow for drag and drop reordering of pages in 3.0.
