    This is pretty straightforward actually.

There are adsense revenue share plugins out but my target audience would have none with it (women in general.)

Instead I would prefer that they receive points for each post/comment they make (say 10 pts. for the first and 5 pts. for the latter), each poll they tale part in and each time they rate a product, service, movie or whatever it is they are voting on...

Users would be tempted to get to x points, so that they can redeem the points for a gift of their choice, etc.

This is definitely a plugin, not a core feature.

I'm with Ajd777 on this. Tagged as plugin.

I saw this on the phpnuke cms. The admin gets to determine the points per action of the registered users. Twenty or so options including news submissions aproved by admin and banner clicks. It allows the admin to reward users and it works as a self rating system. I like a system that helps encourage participation and a feeling of belonging to a particular blog. Points could also be global so users have some rating that can travel from blog to blog. Perhaps a seperate standard of points per action, in addition to points for a particular blog.
