I'm so frustrated that there isn't an easy way to make a WordPress blog private. I host on my own server, and WordPress won't let me make my blog private.
Password protecting individual posts is a ridiculous option. I want to make my blog accessible to logged-in-users only. If they aren't logged in, they have to sign up, and I want to have to approve them before they have access to the blog.
This seems like a simple thing, and I can't figure out why there isn't some way to make this work with WordPress 2.6. (I had a plugin that broke with WordPress 2.5, and I've taken down my blog since then until I can fix this problem.)
If I can't resolve this soon, I'm going to have to find a new blogging platform. Content protection in my case is a CRITICAL feature.
