I have a weekly post that uses the same format. I'm forever having to go copy and paste the html from an old post and then cut the content. It's doable but annoying. It'd be nice if I could save several templates for posts where I could just input some content for certain regular featured posts.

Similar to how pages do it, I'd assume?

If you can't do this i WP you can use Clippings. It's an addon for Firefox. I use this all the time. Saved me for a lot of work.

The thing is that I use multiple computers and I log on from various locations. It'd be nice to know I can go anywhere in the world and be able to have it all in one place.

Found a plugin that you can use
    FCKEditor http://www.deanlee.cn/wordpress/fckeditor-for-wordpress-plugin

and see here how to put in your templates http://wiki.fckeditor.net/Developer%27s_Guide/Configuration/Templates

When you use FCKEditor you have to put in the < --more-- > manualy in "Source". I havent worked out how to make a button for it yet.

    Works fine with WP 2.05

Blogdesk sadly looks to be an offline application. I couldn't just use it wherever I sat down at whatever computer. It looks intriguing though.

Good idea, but I think this would probably be better suited to a plugin, as it would unnecessarily bloat WP and not be used by the majority of WP users.

I have often wished for this myself...perhaps it should be a plugin...or maybe it would be better to have a css style drop down in the WYSYWIG editor.
