Personalization for subscribers/users
Ability for registered subscribers or users to personalize what they get presented.
On a blog with a high volume of posts per day on a lot of different subjects, some users want to filter out part of the content (or only see certain posts).
By enabling users to state what categories they want to see, they can skip part of the content.
And maybe offering the users the option of choosing between themes.
Sounds like Drupal to me. WordPress cannot be all things to all people.
It's a much needed one! We need need to reward the registered users in some way or the other.
Could this be done by allowing a user to call up whatever they had subscribed to? including categories, posts, and comments.
Calling any one of those things is done now, so maybe, say, 3 of them could be chosen from a short menu on a user page (offered on another class/version of author pages perhaps). It still seems like the content would have to be an rss collection though, in order for it to remain outside the primary data structure yet be dynamic.
There are plugins that help you manage content by the type of user you specify.
