Pages with file extensions

    It would be nice if we could add file extensions to PAGES such as .html or .php. Currently the permalinks settings only work for POSTS.

    Agree, this would be a good addition to cater all of us who are using WP as a CMS.

    i'll third that, it would help make the URL scheme more consistent; however, things are a bit more complicated here than in the posts' case, because pages can have children, and you would want a page with children to look like a directory and leaf pages to look like files.

    YES! Using WordPress as a CMS, and would love to be able to port over all old URL's. This is essential!

    Yes, is there anyway to do this? I am moving my blog over from Movable Type and need the page URLs to end in .html, like I have gotten the post slugs to do.

    I've tried to find a workaround, including fussing with the .htaccess file, but to no avail. Is there anyway to do this? Help!

    This article in the Codex which covers the use of Permalinks explains how to do exactly as you want with .html at the end of posts.
