These options can be a new section in the settings tab called "WordPress Optimizations"
Some of the options to include:
-Files are cached
-CSS to exclude
-Future Expires headers
Only the folks who run wordpress would know how to best optimize wordpress with these settings, so it would be better than hunting/troubleshooting existing plugins.
I would love to see this implemented, I've looked into the possibility of doing this with PHP scripts, however the files used by WP are so scattered I don't know if it would help much using an outside script. If WP devs could implement this in the WP install it would be a great help to all WP users
Please try it out and see where it can be improved. Maybe it can be integrated into the core.
