oEmbed To Configure Width and Height of Video

The new oEmbed feature is an awesome fix to the HTML problem we had over the past few years.

It has been fixed now with the oEmbed feature.

However, it comes with a standard sizes laid out by youtube. But not everybody has the same content width.

I am proposing the idea that [embed][/embed] tags can be used to define a certain magnitude of width and height so that the embedded video can follow the defined size.

Width and height can be adjusted under the Settings >> Media menu. It's not really obvious, but it's there.

  3. As gestroud said, you can control the default maxwidth and maxheight values at Settings -> Media. If your theme defines $content_width and you leave the width box blank, that value will be used.

Embeds can be controlled on a per-embed basis by using the [embed] shortcode and specifying the width and height parameters:

    [embed width="123" height="456"]...[/embed]

Is there also a way to specify that you want your video centered on your post? Looks like oEmbed just embeds the videos aligned to the left.
