Notification of Response to Request for Help in WP Forums--or what am I missing?
I just triple checked my "profile," and again found no preference for being notified of a response to a forum posting.
Given the fact that there is NO SUPPORT apart from these forums, isn't this an appalling lapse in usability?
Can you even call these things "forums" absent notification of a response??
Or, my apologies, what am I missing?
You're missing the rss feed for each topic that you wish to be notified on.. Such as this one.
And where might I find this topic specific RSS feed? I assure you it is nowhere in this browser window.
And why reinvent the forum wheel? Withoug email notification, this is not a forum.
There seems to be an awful lot of attitude here in WP-land. It were better it were not free I think. Accountability to the user and usability is woefully lacking.
You must be having a bad day or are visually impaired.
The link to the RSS feed is on EVERY page that has a post on it. The link says "RSS feed for this topic." In the regular forums, it is on the right column under "About This Topic." In the Ideas section, the link is located near the bottom of the page.
The link for this particular post is http://wordpress.org/extend/ideas/rss/topic/notification-of-response-to-request-for-help-in-wp-forums-or-what-am-i-missing
bbPress is used for both support and ideas forum. If you want to make feature suggestions for bbPress, you should head over to bbpress.org.
