Image management can become more user-friendly, by putting the insert image button at different positions.
I have made a Powerpoint to explain my idea:
I agree with Gerjan. I think the enhancements to the image manager as of 3.0 were a good step in the right direction but many of my clients still have difficulty because the basics of inserting an image aren't focused enough.
WordPress image gallery plugin which seamlessly intergrates with WordPress. Administration page for uploading files and managing galleries integrated in the WordPress administration area. Supports gif, jpg and png images. Integrates lightbox right in the plugin. RSS feed available on albums.
Also, when inserting one or several images why should pop up window go back to page number one? Going back to page, let's say, twenty if you have a lot of images is a pain in the neck.
I agree too, and in my opinion also the "use as featured image" and "delete" buttons should be more user friendly
