This is a repeat of a previous request, but being able to order categories would be so useful. We use categories as part of the taxonomy navigation aid for our posts in menus, so to be able to control them better would be invaluable.

MemberSome may say that this is plugin territory (and indeed My Category Order can do it), but this should actually be in the core as part of a generalized drag and drop ordering solution, to be used also for Pages and Posts. It is quite unbelievable that after so many years, WP is still doing the nerdviewy sorting by integers.
