Make the "Gallery" into its own category

Currently you have to insert gallerys into posts to make them work

There should be a way to actually list the media in the media library in such a way that it acts like a category in itself (and also be found by search engines), so that once it is uploaded it is instantly posted, just like a normal post would be once you published it.

this should be in addition to the media galleries you can make already

you mean to say once you post pictures in say category 'Galleries'. then that should appear in the galleries. and not as a post...

or let's say videos. so just upload all the videos in that category .and then they should appear. one after another. like they do in itues or something..

but why would you want your pictures in database.

actuyaly this idea would make things simple so now this would be like a website building software. with one selection/

    Awesome!

that's a little bit different than what i had meant, but essentially it does the same thing.

what i literally mean is once you upload a picture, a post is created in the category "Gallery" or whatever the default Media category is called, and is instantly posted without worrying about actually making a physical post for it if you elect to have that category act like an actual category in your category list.
