I would never think it possible, but the latest stable version and the latest beta DO NOT VALIDATE!!! I consider it unacceptable, guys!

You must have messed it up.

    Validates for me.

@rendart, hm, that's really interesting, but I wouldn't write if I weren't absolutely sure. I run a couple of blogs on WordPress, ALL of which validated OK, but after the update to 3.1.3 ALL of them don't. The validator says that there are no such values as index or canonical or profile for rel attribute.

At first, I thought that's because of the plugin All-in-One SEO, they have an option to generate canonical URLs (deactivating the feature, clearing the cache and reloading the page a couple of times produced no better results). And then I downloaded the beta version, where I didn't install ANY plugins but got the same validation errors. If it's not wordpress-core-related I apologize for being so hot-tempered, but does anyone have an idea how to solve my problem?

I also have several wordpress blogs... and also just did a clean install to check...

    Validates :(

There could be a problem with your server? If all your blogs are on the same one and it is a consistent problem...

  5. I think the W3C validator has been acting a bit odd lately. When I tried to validate a page (via the Chrome version of the Web Developer extension), it had issues with my Content-Type declaration. Copying the entire head section from another [validating] site yielded the same results.

    I'm assuming you're using the HTML5 validator?

Yes, stevegrunwell, I use this validator. It looks like that's a problem with the validator, but I'm not sure, besides rendrart states above that all his/her blogs and the latest beta validate all right.

    I'm at a loss :)
