Every blogger creates a own 'language' (especially foreign bloggers ;) ) So, is it a good idea to create a language file for every word that's printed in wordpress. After every update i need to translate files over and over

I would prefer not to have a language directory in WordPress, but maybe a "WordPress Proofing" package somewhere on the webpage could be nice.

Language files (ala phpBB, Textpattern and others) would be great. A centralized way of converting WordPress to, say, Spanish, would be good.

Does this mean something other than this?

If not, I think we can close this as done. There are dozens of translations of WP already.

What Matt said. Also it's not just a case of translating word for word, as grammar and context comes into it.

Good idea, but it seems to be implemented already, and in quite a good way even.

WordPress is available in a bunch of different languages. Here is a sampling of them.
