Interface to create Custom Post Types

    Hello guys,

I was thinking about an easier way to create Custom Post Types.
By now, we are using essentially functions.php to drop in the code, and generate the Custom Post Types when the theme is activated.

But, what about a native Options Screen, like we have with the Menus, to update a file in the system taking care of that?

I'm not an experienced coder, so I can't provide more details about "how" would it work, but I'm sure it would be nice to have such an Options Screen, and a step further to making WordPress a complete CMS.

The screen could have a form to fill in, for the Custom Post Type labels, and the rest of options we are used to drop in functions.php, like "support", "has_archive", "can_export", etc.

    What do you think?

The way I see it is to blend (or combine) custom post types with post formats, så that WP becomes more like tumblr. Or at least let cpt's have post formats if they do not have that already...
