Ideas

Include originator on the post

I'd like to see the name of the post originator along with the last poster's name so that when I want to go back to a previously visited post, I can search on either name. At present, it is extremely hard to (re)find a post that I looked at 1,2 or 3 weeks ago.

I'm assuming you mean in the support forums?

Mark the post as favorite :)

Your suggested solution requires someone to take an action, which is problematic at best. What I'm suggesting is a column (maybe just to left of 'Last Poster'). Since the system has my name when I log into the Support Forum, it should be no trouble to automatically populate the 'Originator' field.

Well, also this ideas forum is for ideas for WordPress core, not the forums ;)

Your suggested solution requires someone to take an action, which is problematic at best.

How is that problematic? It allows you to make a note to yourself of threads you liked. Or you can get email updates on them.

Users can write thousands of posts. How does 'originator' actually help you determine what post you liked? If you know you like all posts by person X, you look for person X's profiles...

And where do I post a suggestion relating to the forum itself?
