Hooks to integrate with CiviCRM

Ok, this may just be an attempt to push the envelope against the "Keep It Simple, Sweetie" supporters.

But I've been using WordPress as a CMS, and some of the (very small) groups I support (probono) are outgrowing it and need something like CiviCRM. The thought of giving up WordPress and moving to Drupal or Joomla! to get the customer relationship features is keeping me up nights.

I've no clue where the stumbling blocks are. And since I can find only one other mention in the support area (wmdigital was asking before spending a few days coding a CMR plugin) I assume this isn't a big deal for the community. But I'd be interesting in hearing why this is hard if anyone has looked at it and abandoned the effort.

Not sure how much demand there is for an integrated CRM with WordPress, but if there is enough demand, we'd definitely consider integrating WP with CiviCRM. Our interface layer is pretty thin and clean, and I suspect this is not a lot of work

    i demand, i demand!

i work exclusively for non-profits and issues groups and am in constant need of CRM and action center-type of functionality.

i hate drupal to death and prefer wordpress over every other CMS option. but it lacks some essential features, CRM being one of them.

I've got a drupal site up for a PAC I'm working with here in Texas, but haven't yet integrated CiviCRM. Truth be told, I'd rather use WordPress with CiviVRM integrated into it.

    Just another guy's thoughts...

Same here! I am planning on building an intranet for a nonprofit and would rather use CiviCrm on WP.

    Another demand here! ;)

Please do it, so we don't condemn tiny non-profits to Drupal.

I'd like to support this request. We are running Word Press on our site but might need to consider changing in order to get CiviCRM - I'm about to download it & test it on Joomla to see if it does meet our needs.
