Gallery could allow integration of other plugins

   I use the shadowbox.js plugin for my images and other stuff, and I use the WP2.6 gallery with it. The problem is that I am more prone to typos because of having to make the connection between the image and the shadowbox by hand each time.

   Just as the gallery has options for alignment and float and size, it could allow for other options that would apply specifically to plugins like shadowbox. I'm guessing it would be a start to at least make that easier to do, since I haven't been able to find any plugins that offer that integration yet.

   Luckily, WP allows us to override the default settings with this. See my Cleaner Gallery plugin, which should allow you to easily integrate Shadowbox.

   That is a good start, though I prefer to use core functions whenever possible. I already use too many plugins. Now, just gotta figure out how to make it work with shadowbox. Thanks

   "I prefer to use core functions whenever possible." We try to rein ourselves in and only put those functions in core that are necessary for the majority of users, with the more specific workflow/personal preference functions being kept in a plugin so as not to overload people with functions they don't want/need.
