Why not implement a system to the people save your favorites plugins in their accounts?

Not sure why others rate this with one star. I find the idea to be excellent!

    +1 for that.

On buddypress.org every plugin also has a group around it, that you can join for updates and discussion.

    Yeah, kinda ;)...

But that it is not quite it. As it is now, I of course do keep a big list of bookmarks.
But if we had it all in one place online and maybe being able to share it with other wordpress.org users for collaboration purposes. That would be even better.

But hey, no complaints just some thoughts.

The forums (and the plugin repo) run off bbPress, the standalone version, hooked in to SVN. I suspect it'd be monumental to change that.

And yet they figured it out!

There ya go. Support forums linked from the plugin are sexier AND you can mark favorites.

    They sure did.

Now there is a "favorite" button, links to donate and support forum.

    Yeah :D

Awesome idea! I'd like to see a kind of ranking chart which can be broken down into categories, based on downloads over the past week or month (or something like that). Would be interesting to see what's buzzing in the WordPress world. Maybe we already have this? I'm relatively new to WordPress since I started with a new company, so any pointers would be well received.
