Drag and Drop Custom Menus Order

    It would be nice if we could reorder the custom menus by dragging and dropping. Right now the menus are ordered alphabetically and there is no way I know of to change this. This would be especially handy when creating a lot of menus for the footer widgets to show custom menus of subpages of the main category.

    You can do that. Custom menus are listed alphabetically, but you can drag/drop the items within, and if you only want to order them in a widget, you can use the 'menu' widget menu multiple times and drag/drop those.

    That is what I mean, to rearrange the order of the custom menus instead of alphabetical, not the items within it or in the widgets.

    Where are you trying to reorder the custom menus?

    On Appearance -> Menu>?

    You may be under the impression that you can't drag-and-drop the menus because of a Javascript error that's happening in the admin panel.

    Try disabling all the plugins on your site then test the drag-and-drop in the menus. If it works then enable the plugins one-by-one until something breaks.

    Is there a fix for the Javascript error, Ryan?
