Default "Add Image" options

I'd love to see extra settings in the "Settings>Miscellaneous" screen which would allow you to set the default add image settings to be modified.

For example, on some sites I almost always set my image to be:

    Link URL: "Post URL"
    Alignment: "Right"
    Size: "Thumbnail"

If I could set these as default actions through the settings screen that would be fantastic.

It would also help greatly in situations where sites are being designed for clients as CMS, multi-author blogs, or any situation with guest authors. Having default settings will allow you to rest a little more comfortably that someone won't accidentally break the standard functionality.

I assume this type of settings addition should be simple enough.

It really would. The more I think about it, I'd love to see it in there. I assume a plugin could sort this out, but it kind of feels like something that should be at the core, and it would be a small thing to add it to the settings screen.

Of course, I'm in no way belittling the extraordinary work done on WordPress! I'm constantly amazed by the excellence of the code. I only wish I was capable of adding to it - hopefully someday. I'm slowly learning PHP so, fingers crossed my ideas can be turned into plugins eventually!

I'm in the same boat. I usually add 10-15 images to a post (well starting to), and its a pain having to add them one at a time, so I'd like to see a way to batch add all files into a post from a certain folder, at (ex) 600px longest side, no links, and a 2px border around the images.
