Decimals in Page Order

Would love to be able to use decimals in the page order to easily be able to manage the ordering of sub-pages. ie ->

    Top level pages 1 2 3 4 5
    Sub-Pages for page 1
    1.1 1.2 1.3...

The current order-by-number already is a nerdy kluge that doesn't scale. To add another level for subpages certainly wouldn't scale. Imagine having to move 1.7 to 1.2 — you'd have to renumber everything in between. The way to go for pages as well as subpages is a simple drag and drop interface as for example provided by the My Page Order plugin.

If you're thinking of decimals, why not just use bigger numbers?

    Page list:

    - A (1000)
    --- a.1 (1000)
    --- a.2 (2000)
    --- a.3 (3000)
    - B (2000)
    - C (3000)
    - D (4000)

Instead of a decimal, just use a "0". The large numbers also give you a ton of wiggle room when reordering pages.
