I regularly find myself screwing up and accidently start tp post a page as a post or vice versa and would like a simple easy method like the ability to push a button to be able to change it after I'm done writing it.

This would really be great, because a post can easily turn into a page, depending on how it progresses.

Should not that be an easy task, just by changing the type of post on wp-posts table for that post-id?

Thanks guys, great idea. Here's the sql I ran to convert posts to pages.

    update wp_posts set post_type = 'page' WHERE post_type = 'post'

the only thing that may* vary is if you used a different prefix on your table names, which would mean the table name may vary, slightly. wp_posts is the default, so wp_ may not be your prefix.

You can use the p2pConverter plugin. http://www.briandgoad.com/blog/downloads/p2pconverter/comment-page-4/#comment-1993

Just commented on a similar idea on another page he suggested in page editing, which would actually be a better idea
