The idea is basically nothing new, most paid software uses it. Some user in forum asked me if there is any tick mark based script. I found nothing so wrote it :

On that webpage you will see a link saying "WordPress Compatibility Checking Script Web Site ›" ; click that to land on my webpage if you do not want to make your server a guinea pig, there is a link to live Demo. That will not require downloading to test. The Demo's second page (rather step) will not work. I have disabled the function.
By default it needs no WordPress ZIP to be downloaded and uncompressed mnually, the PHP function does that on second page and redirects to wp-config. Its quite easy to change the first page's redirection to any other file, like wp-config. 5 minutes installation will become of 7 minutes though.
