Comment holding tank or archive

This might be helpful to someone other than me -- there are some comments that I don't want to delete but I don't necessarily want them on the post to be seen by others BUT I also don't want to keep them in moderation because it gets quite tedious when you have 1300 spam comments in there and have to weed out the ones you don't want to delete/spam. Anyway, it would be nice to have a sort-of holding tank for comments that fit this criteria, you could archive them so that they aren't deleted or spammed but don't appear on the post or in moderation until you click to show them.

If nothing else, you could create a page and hide it from public view then just assign those comments to that page or post - but, of course, you'd need to have an easy way to do this, rather than manually going into the database and locating said comment among the thousands.

I would love to have this feature too!

A "mark as read" function would probably serve better, maybe in conjunction with a 'recycle bin'. Then you could just use the view of only unmoderated comments. be cautious... spam should only be used for true spam comments, as if using akismet, that commenter will be worked into the akismet logic for finding new spam.
