Clear and obvious support route for plugin makers

Every time I find a problem with my plugin uploads (i.e. SVN does not work for commits, plugin not zipping, readme.txt not updating) I come to the wordpress.org site looking for somewhere to get support.

Every time I do this I fail badly at attaining support. I cannot find anywhere the information on getting support for myself the plugin maker.

It would be perfect to have a help centre within the developer centre so that logged in plugin makers have somewhere to report problems.

Right now I have the problem that my Readme.txt is not updating properly by mixing the last version and this version, and the screenshots don't show although they are clearly on the SVN.

I finally fixed it myself by adding a space to the readme.txt and re-committing the same one up to the sever. now it is up to date.... Would have been nice to read how to do this rather than have to work it out for myself.

I think the official way is to contact plugins@wordpress.org. Though I didn't get any response lately when asking for help/clarification.

Maybe the devs are as overloaded with work as the SVN-server probably is...

I emailed plugins@wordpress.org and never got a response.

I found last time that the only way to get an actual reply was to mail directly to a wordpress employee. Fortunately he had mistakenly replied replied to me directly before and could not get away!

But yes the official, albeit rarely written, support email address is not responded to quickly at all.

Such a shame, especially as support is in the Job Spec for working at wordpress/automattic as being a major thing for them as a corporation.
