Why isn't wpautop an option? I totally HATE the fact that it's always monkeying with my content, and it never does it the same way twice!

I want this option OFF, and really don't see why I should have to modify WP in order to do it when obviously this is a feature that's been complained about for what, two years now?

    DEATH TO WPAUTOP!!!!!!

The editor take up to much CPU time with the host I'm at they used to suspend accounts for someone being at the editor as they were causing performance issues if they stayed on that page for an extended period of time. They have changed it so that those people get throttled, IE they get a performance hit for a period of time. I understand why they do it but they are touted as one of the best hosts to host WordPress.org installs with.

Ah man, WYSIWYG editors really do my nut in! I think they are all pretty rubbish in the end. I would rather copy and paste from dreamweaver into a text box, at least I can create something that looks half decent.

I have been pretty well satisfied with the Tiny MCE Advanced Plugin, albeit there is notable room for improvement. However I think this sort of functionality should be standard if WordPress is to be the industry leader in CMS.

What makes WordPress such a good choice as a website engine for us is the ability to train clients on managing their own content. Our professionalism is less impressive (and thereby making the product less impressive) when their primary tool isn't operating smoothly or offering as much control as it could.
