Category subscribsion

   I am developing a website where would be many users and i would like to use categories to filter some post depending on users. It's nothing new. E107 has it. Admin creates some groups. By default any post would be public. If post's author puts his post in "example" category, the post would be seen only to those users who are subscribed to this category. This realy works nice for community ant intranet websites.

   You could always try Urban Giraffe's User Permissions Plugin.
   Wont do quite what you're describing here, which I think is a great idea. You have my vote.

   I would recommend taking advantage of the category and tag RSS feeds, such that users could subscribe to the feed(s) for the categories/tags in which they are interested.

   Beyond that, you might need to take a look at something like BuddyPress.
