Better Way Of Notifying The User They Are Logged Out

There have been a few times now where I've left the Write page open for an extended amount of time in a tab within FireFox, go back to that tab to immediately start writing only to find out 2 paragraphs in, I'm logged out. I would like to see something along the lines of a tool tip that shows up in the middle of the screen that notifies me that I've been logged out with a link that allows me to log back in or to extend the session. I realize there is already text on the bottom of the write screen that notifies the user that they are logged out but I feel a popup like a tool tip would be a much better notification. I haven't lost a huge amount of work because of it but I have lost enough to make this one of those annoyances with WordPress.

  3. On WordPress.com, a pop-up happens that says my session has expired, and I can't do anything without re-logging. Something more like that would be good for WordPress.org.

This is already being built in version 3.6 -- if you'd like, you can follow the progress of this Trac ticket: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/23295

Yeah, after I tweeted this out, I discovered that 3.6 has the magic built in to fix my little issue. Sorry about that.
