Admin Panel: Page Order Revision

One of the things that really frustrates me on blogs with a lot of page parents and children of those parents, is that once you create a page, the order inside the Page Management area is fixed. As such, when I go back and add a new page, it does not insert that page alphabetically into the list. rather, it just appends it to the end.

I'd like to see a revision for the Admin Page management area where pages (parents and children) are ordered alphabetically, regardless of their ID's. When you have 300 pages, it gets frustrating having to use one of the multitude of plugins to re-order all your pages en masse all over again to manually make them alphabetical.

  3. also, perhaps the pages could be rearranged as easily as the sidebar widgets. at least the pages linked in the header.

vBulletin has a cool ordering tool, where each of the pages have a text input field with their order and then a button like 'update page order'

With this feature in wordpress, you wouldn't have to edit a page, set page order, and then save.. for each page...

on the manage page, just set page order and 'update'.

    easy :)
