    Hi There,

    It would be incredibly helpful to have a "Copy URL" button once uploaded media into the media library.

    Sometimes the upload paths are large, and certain browsers (ala Chrome) are not the best at copying label text...

    If you clicked "COPY URL" or "COPY TO CLIPBOARD" alongside the "File URL" field that would rock.

    Thanks !

    I agree with you Matthew, would be very helpful if there were a 'Copy' button, when you access this button the text from the box automatically will be copied.

    Hi,
    I spend hours with this. There is no secure way to auto select and get it into a clipboard with a client side script. Only IE can do this or some flash clutter...

    But a workaround is:

    Open a javascript prompt with the address loaded. Then you just ctr + c and hit enter.

    Its working actually for a user experiance point of view. You never have to clutter with the mark selection and drag and stuff... Its cross browser safe and reliable.

    This is the trick on a simple link:

    window.prompt('Copy url : Ctrl + C, Enter', this.href); return false;

    or just click on the url in the metabox with this plugin, add to your themes functions.php :

    function ua_edit_media_select_url(){
    	global $pagenow;
    	if(!$pagenow == 'post.php') return;
        echo '<script type="text/javascript">'."\n";
    	?>
    	jQuery(document).ready(function($){
    		if($('[name="attachment_url"]').get(0)){
    			$(document).on('click', '[name="attachment_url"]', function(){
    				window.prompt('Copy url : Ctrl + C, Enter', $(this).val());
    				return false;
    			});
    		}
    	});
    	<?php
    	echo '</script>'."\n";
      }
      add_action('admin_footer', 'ua_edit_media_select_url');

    I like Jonas's work around.

    A copy button is ideal and should really be core

    A media-copy-URL button is a great idea!

    Plus, it would be small enough to nicely place in a Media Library column.

    This is a great one. I often need to share after uploading and I use chrome as well, would definitely be a time saver.
