Add revisions for blogs/pages

Oh what would I love to go back to a previous revision of a post just because TinyMCE ate my HTML again, or I need some info that I took off a page but need to access again.
Revisions are such a great thing, not having it in WP really hurts

And maybe the ability to nominate certain revisions that readers are allowed to look at too. This would mean you could make revisions in a transparent way to posts that have already been published.

This would really help in situations when WP adds a bunch of tags to a post without asking.

most definitely would like this one, specially if wiki functions were implemented for pages.

Definitely want this. Does anyone know of another CMS that has this built in? I want a mixture of a wiki and WordPress, really, with history for each page but presented kind of like a blog and kind of like a wiki.

This seems to be the same idea:

    And this seems related:

Thanks for the pointer to the plugin.

I'm just starting to play with Drupal (for a client who needs something like CiviCRM), and was pleased to see it has revisions built in. They can be on or off by default with separate settings for posts (stories) and pages. A role based option allows users to have the ability to change the default.

This is a nice idea, but I don't think many WordPress users will really need this. That's not relevant now, though, because it's still an idea.

What is relevant, however, is that this feature can probably be added by means of a plugin, since WordPress provides enough hooks for the post writing process. :)

It says "You can do this with a plugin!" Which plugin?

A new plugin from Automattic does it too:

Though, reading the warnings, I would hold off on installing it.
