1 - Add the "Nickname and "Display Publically as" fields to the "New User" screen so that they can be created when the user is created; don't make it a 2 step process by requiring that we have to edit the user profile as well

2 - provide the opportunity to add a new author from the Edit Posts screen. In much the same way that you can add a new category from "Edit Posts"
