It would be awesome if you extend the function "get_previous_post"&"get_next_post" so that we can get more then one in both directions with possibility to chose what to show.
Thanks to such function we can create more sophisticated navigation through the web. Instead using text based link to who knows what there will be a chance to see a image form "x" prev-next posts, or names, or meta, with excerpt, whatever.
The way how it is now, the text based (link) system is not satisfactory anymore.
