Seeing as the WP admin page itself admits "We know this is a little janky, it’ll be better in future releases." .... I can't believe it hasn't been yet! :)

I am always a little embarrassed explaining to clients they have to use the clunky numbering system to order pages.

Yes, pageMash is a MUST at the moment and really this functionality is so useful it should be part of the core.

While your at it, drag and drop ordering of categories and links? Just like you can with images in the admin.

You can do it with a plugin like PageMash but I think it's a keen idea for the WP core anyway.

Instead of having to order pages based on a number I have to input for each page, just allow some type of AJAX/Prototype drag and drop where on the Pages list, I can order the pages by dragging them around one-another.
